Based in Seattle since 2023, I am a digital artist and motion designer pursuing my Master's degree at the University of Washington. Prior to this, I spent five years working across various sectors in China - from K12 education to e-commerce and fintech - while developing my artistic practice.
My relationship with art took a defining turn in 2018 when my undergraduate installation "Paradise on Earth" - a piece about mass surveillance and freedom of speech - faced heavy censorship.
I was told to change my theme or risk not graduating, and potentially impact my professor's career. I complied, but this experience left a deep mark.
I believe art should be a space for honest exploration and free expression.
The fear of becoming creatively numb in an environment of constant self-censorship eventually led me here, to pursue work that truly reflects my voice as an artist.
Now in Seattle, I'm rediscovering my creative voice through motion design and digital art, embracing the freedom to experiment without boundaries
